You'll see why at the end.

Kinja'd!!!

Red Rock Metallic, RS package, body colored hood vents, and sunroof.

Kinja'd!!!

Dual-Mode Performance Exhaust, short throw shifter, and ZR1 brakes.

Kinja'd!!!

Cloth Recaros, Subwoofer.

Kinja'd!!!

$666 a month. Thus Red Devil.

It's funny because if I bought a Camaro, it would be to these exact specifications.

Around 40k is what you'll be paying for any decently loaded V8 muscle car.

Is that a "wow that's expensive" or a "wow that's not actually that expensive"?

If it's the former, let's take a look at what $42k gets you from the German makers:

Audi: An A4 Prestige or A5 Premium Plus, both with that PoS 2.0T pushing the weight of a Mustang around

BMW: Actually gives you something decent with the M235i for $1000 more, but is otherwise a joke and requires you to go all the way up to the M4

MB: C350? That's about as close as you can get without spending significantly more.

Subjective analyses of "build quality" aside, the Camaro walks all over any of those cars with the exception of the M235i. BMW did a bang-up job on that one. It should be noted, however, that those were all base prices while $42,000 gets you a well-optioned Camaro.

Of course, you'll have to grow a mullet. They forgot to mention that in the price tag.
